La web la teneis en inglés, nada más entrar pulsar SOFTWARE y arriba ENGLISCH pero en efecto este soft se ha desarrollado solo para serie 1D.

How to Check Shutter Actuations on a Canon 300d  
I think this is probably the most effective way of seeing just how many shots or 'shutter actuations' have accumulated on your Canon EOS Digital Rebel 300d. I've tested this on mine and it is very accurate if your card has never been exposed or used in another digital camera.


1. Download this exif reader. NO installation is necessary. It's a standalone program.

2. Take a picture with your Canon EOS Digital Rebel in RAW Format.

3. Copy the RAW file(s) to your HD

4. Open the file with exif reader.

5. Look for the line: Unknown (1817) XXXXX,32703 near the top.

6. XXXXX = how many shutter actuations on your camera.

7. You can test it by taking a couple of photos in sequence and you'll notice the numbers increasing in each shot.


Note: The stats are easily corrupted by memory cards that have been exposed to other cameras. The only way you can truly know the exact actuations using EXIF reader is if you have used the exact same memory card on the exact same camera since it started taking pics. Otherwise, you may actually be seeing the actuations of another camera. I believe this happens because the Canon EOS Bios is programmed to automatically increment with each shot. When a foreign card is introduced with a higher shutter count, it boosts it's highest actuation to stay in line with it's programming.
